At the start of 2022, The Toronto Regional Real Estate Board predicted that sales would increase 12% leaving us with an average sale price of $1,225,000.

We finished the year almost 10% below the average sale price in December 2021…what will they predict this year? (CREA has predicted a 5.9% drop across Canada)

Is it a big deal that the average selling price in the GTA dropped by 10% Year over Year?

Did anyone mention the average price of $1,051,216 in December 2022 was 12% higher than the average price in December 2020?

How about the fact that the average price in December 2021 was 24% higher than December 2020?

It’s all about perspective…remember that the headlines rarely tell the whole story.
